Bookly
Bookly is a personal concept project started in 2023, a bookmarking tool designed to go beyond simply saving links. The vision: a clean, intuitive application that lets users organize bookmarks into lists, scrape live data from saved pages, and turn passive collections into actively useful information.
The process was systematic, from initial sketches and mindmapping, through competitive analysis, a product vision board, information architecture, and use cases to validate the concept's functional and content viability.
One key challenge emerged early: automatic data scraping would require ongoing costs that users were unlikely to pay for, forcing a rethink of the monetization model. A reminder that structured UX thinking doesn't just shape design. It surfaces the hard questions before they become expensive problems.
