The Residents

Two creatures. One golden seat. No explanation.

The Residents is a series of short animations featuring the same two caterpillar-like beings, always in the same place, never in the same mood. Dancing, sulking, trembling, itching with inexplicable urgency. Small, sweet, slightly unsettling performances from beings you never asked for but somehow can't look away from.

The project explores generative AI not as a production tool, but as a medium for character and motion. The challenge was to create animations that feel alive without losing the uncanny quality that makes them interesting. Something between a nature documentary and a fever dream.
